Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of terms

By creating an account or using LodgeDesk, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the platform.

2. Description of service

LodgeDesk is a cloud-based property management CRM for hotels, lodges and resorts. We provide tools for reservations, guests, invoicing, housekeeping, staff scheduling and reporting.

We reserve the right to modify or discontinue any part of the service with reasonable notice.

3. Your account

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account. Notify us immediately at support@lodgedesk.io if you suspect unauthorised access.

You must provide accurate information when creating your account. You are responsible for all activity under your account.

4. Free trial and billing

Every new account receives a 14-day free trial with full access. No credit card is required.

After your trial ends, your account will be paused and data retained for 14 days. To continue using LodgeDesk you must upgrade to a paid plan.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

Use LodgeDesk for any unlawful purpose
Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the platform
Upload malicious code or interfere with platform operations
Resell or sublicense access to LodgeDesk without written permission
Reverse engineer or extract the source code of the platform

6. Your data

You retain full ownership of all data you enter into LodgeDesk. We process this data on your behalf to provide the service.

We will never sell your data or use your guests data for any purpose other than providing the service to you.

You can export all your data at any time from Settings > Export Data.

7. Data security

Every hotel account is completely isolated from every other using row-level security. All data is encrypted in transit. We maintain regular backups.

We cannot guarantee absolute security and are not liable for breaches outside our reasonable control.

8. Availability

We aim to maintain high availability. You can check current uptime at lodgedesk.io/status.

We are not liable for downtime caused by circumstances outside our control.

9. Limitation of liability

LodgeDesk is provided as-is. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform.

Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

10. Termination

You may cancel your account at any time by contacting support@lodgedesk.io. Your data will be retained for 14 days before permanent deletion.

We may suspend your account if you violate these terms or fail to pay for a paid plan.

11. Changes to these terms

We will notify active users by email at least 14 days before material changes take effect. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Zambia. Any disputes shall be resolved through the courts of Zambia.
